This is a blog by Mackie, who is nineteen, an unreliable speaker, “proudly autistic” and has finally realized his next dream of taking college classes. He busted out an awesome grade in his first class, and is on to the Spring 2021 semester.

Last year was rough in many ways – from school shutting down in March, to cancelled events, and a high school graduation that was really different (memorably so!) – we all have been at home together for many months figuring out a new type of typical, but we are grateful that things have been relatively steady.

We live in New England, and are as changeable as the weather sometimes. Cranky at moments (forgive us in advance for that), tumbling into laughter the next. Welcome!
